If Leaving Dog Behind:
- Make sure dog can easily get to food, water and potty.
- Close off some rooms to cut down on hiding places.
- Leave windows unlocked or key hidden in specific place when you leave.
- Leave sign front door: types of animals, names & what rooms they're in.
- Call animal shelter or resuce organization if you are not allowed back quickly (tell them where you hid the key).
- Tripple-check your supply list!
If Taking Dog:
- Find out if dog can be brought to home or shelter where you will go.
- Make arrangements/reservations for you and dog.
- Make arrangements with pet-sitter if dog can't stay with you.
- Transport pet in crate for safety or use pet harness.
- Tripple-check your supply list!
